Terms of Service

These terms cover using this website: reading it, downloading from it and linking to it. They don’t cover client work. Every project gets its own written agreement, and if that agreement ever disagrees with this page, the agreement wins.

By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Who I am

This site is run by TOMOWEB, obrt za računalne djelatnosti i usluge, vl. Tomislav Kaučić, Ulica Augustina Kažotića 45, 35000 Slavonski Brod, Croatia. Full registration details are on the legal information page. When these terms say “I” or “me”, that’s who they mean.

Using the site

You’re welcome to browse, read, share links and download the files offered here. Please don’t:

  • Try to break, overload or get around the site’s security, including the check in front of the CV
  • Scrape or copy the site in bulk with automated tools
  • Use it for anything unlawful, or to harm other people

Content and copyright

Unless it says otherwise, everything on this site belongs to Tomoweb: the text, the notes, the design and the illustrations. Here’s what you can do with it:

  • Quote it. Short excerpts are fine, as long as you credit Tomoweb and link back to the original.
  • Use the code. Code snippets in the notes are there to be used. Copy them into your own projects freely, but they come with no warranty.
  • Use the logo. The files on the press kit page are for referring to Tomoweb, for example in an article or a list of suppliers. Follow the usage rules on that page, and please don’t use the logo in a way that suggests I endorse something I don’t.

Client names, logos and trademarks shown in the projects belong to their owners and appear here only as portfolio references. Illustrations I’ve published on Pixabay are covered by Pixabay’s licence there.

Information, not advice

The notes and tools on this site, including the calculators, are general information written in good faith. They may be simplified or out of date, and they aren’t professional advice for your specific situation. If you need that, get in touch and we can talk about a project.

The site links to other websites, like client projects, social profiles and sources in the notes. I don’t control those sites and I’m not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. I work to keep it accurate and online, but I can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and I may change or remove content at any time.

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for intentional harm or gross negligence.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Croatian law. If something goes wrong, please email me first. Most things are easier to sort out with a conversation. If a dispute can’t be resolved that way, the competent court in Slavonski Brod has jurisdiction.

If you’re a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protections the law of your country gives you.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Using the site after an update means you accept the new version.
